On the evening of May 24th, LZU held a concert of youth chamber orchestra themed with “Tango Night” in Wenxin Auditorium of Yuzhong Campus.

The players played classic tango music such as “Free Tango”, “Forgotten Tango”, “Jealous Tango”, “Lonely Tango” and “Tango’s History in 1960”. They also played “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires--Spring” and “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires--Summer” as well as “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires--Autumn”, “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires—Winter”. The later two were both adapted and played by Yang Kun, a young teacher from the School of Arts, LZU. The whole concert gave the audience many surprises. After the concert, the audience requested an encore with prolonged applause. So the players played “Cornerfish” as the end of the concert.

Academic cultivation is a reflection of students’ rational thinking, while the cultivation of the art is a reflection of students’ perceptual thinking. This concert has played a positive role in promoting the artistic accomplishment, lofty sentiments of the young students of our school, and it also improved school campus culture and promoted the construction of a beautiful spiritual home.
