South Korean Ambassador to China Lu Yingmin visits Lanzhou University

Lu Yingmin, South Korean Ambassador to China, and his entourages paid a visit to LZU,President Yan Chunhuamet the delegation on July 6th. Shi Peiwen, Assistant Secretary-General of the Gansu People’s Government, LZU Vice President Pan Baotian, and relevant government authorities in Gansu and heads from LZU relevant functional departments also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, President. Yan expressed his welcome and introduced historical development and talents cultivation of LZU. Yan said LZU had conducted exchanges and cooperation with many South Korean universities and research institutes and hoped to further develop a more stable and in-depth exchange with top universities in South Korea. Yan also noted that, located in Northwest China, LZU enjoyed vast territory and rich natural resources, which would provide a better cooperative platform with cutting-edge fields for Sino-South Korean friendly exchanges. Besides, he expected that this visit would be a good opportunity to build close relations with South Korea in students’ communications, exchange visits, and research cooperation.

Ambassador Lu Yingmin highly praised LZU’s achievements in discipline building and talents cultivation. During the visit, he delivered a speech to teachers and students from LZU and other universities in Gansu Province. He expounded the issues like prospects of future Sino-South Korean relations, cultural exchanges and cooperation. This speech ended up with amazing cultural shows performed by personnel from Korean Culture Center.
