On the afternoon of November 24, sponsored by Mr. Xiao Wenhua, one of the alumni in Grade 94 and general manager of Guangzhou Helong Chemical Co., Ltd., the 2012 Alumni Scholarship Award Ceremony and Alumni Inspiring Forum was held by the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at room C302 in Tianshan Hall of Yuzhong campus, hosted by deputy secretary of CPC Liu Jing and Dai Quanshun. Present the ceremony were nearly 20 alumni representatives in Grade 78, 80, 81, 82, 83, 85, 87, 94, ect. academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, leaders of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering such as honorary dean Tu Yongqiang, Dean Liu Weisheng, Shi Shengren, former secretary-general of CPC committee, assistant dean Liang Yongmin and Lu Yuan, all kinds of alumni scholarship winners in 2012 and all the students from the school. Each year, the school invites outstanding alumni to make inspiring lectures on the award ceremony, aiming to further strengthen contacts between the alumni and the university and bridge the undergraduates and their life mentors.
