On October 31, The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) announced the newly elected 47 fellows from 24 developing countries and regions. Prof. Huang Jianping from College of Atmospheric Science is among them.
Prof. Huang Jianping, member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Director of Collaborative Innovation Center for Western Ecological Safety, Lanzhou University (LZU) , is the only fellow elected in the field of Earth Sciences in China in 2023. Studying semi-arid climate change in northwestern China for decades, Prof. Huang Jianping’s election represents the international recognition of his academic achievements and contribution by international community of developing countries.
