Abstract:
During the last 5 years a new AMS laboratory with AMS MILEA was built in the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in collaboration with Czech Technical University in Prague and Archaeological Institute of the AS CR in Prague. In the presentation, fundamentals of AMS principles and method history as well as layout and functions of the MILEA system will be briefly presented. Then current AMS research at the CTU in Prague focused on sample preparation, testing of AMS target matrices, and initial results for 236U obtained by MILEA system will be shown and discussed.
