The Chinese civilization is famous for its long history and splendid culture. The Silk Road, winding across the western part of China, is a legendary trade route expanding from China to the capital of Roman Empire. There are many historical and cultural sites on the Silk Road, which has become the great heritage of mankind. Traveling along the ancient Silk Road, you can visit its ruins and classical architecture, discover its mystery and explore Islamic and Buddhist civilizations.
Gansu province, the birthplace of the Chinese nationality and splendid Chinese culture, lies in the golden section of the Silk Road. Within the boundaries of the province, one can find a great variety of valuable historical and cultural heritages: the ancient great wall and passes, towers, pagodas and steles, along with the splendid grottoes, temples and rich historical relics.
