Recently, the Heart Center of LZU First Affiliated Hospital has been invited to participate in the “AHA PDC (American Heart Association Professional Demonstration Centers)” Program, co-undertaken by AHA and cardiovascular physician branch of CMDA (Chinese Medical Doctor Association).
The research program chooses top heart centers eligible for continuing eduction from national major hospitals as “AHA PDC”. As the heart clinical medical center of Gansu province, cardiovascular disease medical quality control center of Gansu province, and diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease training base of the Ministry of Health, the Heart Center of LZU First Affiliated Hospital organizes national continuing education programs, large-scale academic conferences and symposiums on diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular intervention twice a year.
Under the leadership of Zhang Zheng, vice president of the hospital, the heart center delivers regular lectures on cardiovascular disease standardized treatment, making remarkable contributions to raising the level of diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and extending continuing education programs in Gansu province. In the future, the heart center will serve as one of the “AHA Professional Demonstration Centers" to accept and carry out related programs.
