On November 27, sponsored by Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) and South Korean Ministry of Educational Science and Technology (MEST), organized by Renmin University of China, the 4th Sino-Korean University Presidents Forum was held in Beijing. Present the forum were over 70 people including representatives of 17 Chinese universities such as Lanzhou University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, etc. and MOE representatives, and presidents or university repersentatives of 12 universities in South Korea such as Seoul National University, Korea University and so on. Vice president An Lizhe, on behalf of Lanzhou University, attended the forum and presided over the third session in the afternoon.Hao Ping, vice minister of the MOE, attended the meeting and made an opening speech.
During the forum, the delegates made a discussion themed as "the exploration and innovation in personnel training pattern in China and South Korea universities". An Lizhe introduced the speciality of Lanzhou University and exchange with Korea, and made informal talks with leaders of part of South Korean universities. It is reported that the Sino-Korean University Presidents Forum is a high-level platform for the presidents of two countries’ top universities to communicate, and the first forum was held in Seoul in 2007.
