Recently, the “Decision of the Ministry of Education and the State Council Degree Committee on Approving the List of National Excellent Doctoral Dissertations (NEDD) in 2012” has been offically Issued. On the list, 90 dissertations are selected as the NEDD, and another 278 as the NEDD nomination papers, including 4 papers from our university. The 4 papers from LZU are as follows:
2 on the NEDD list: “Sub-10-nm Electron-Beam Lithography” in Physics by Dr. Duan Huigao (advisor Prof. Xie Erqing), and “Transition-metal-catalyzed Decarboxylation Reaction and Electrophilic Cyclization Reaction” in Chemistry by Dr. Bi Haipeng (advisor Prof. Liang Yongmin).
2 on the NEDD nomination list: “The Effects of Positive Interactions among Plants on Population Dynamics and Community Structures” in Biology by Dr. Chu Chengjin (advisor Prof. Wang Gang) and “Theoretical Research on Such Mechanical Properties as Fracture Behavior and Instability of Some Advanced Electromagnetic Materials” in Mechanics by Dr. Yong Huadong (advisor Prof. Zhou Youhe).
