From March 5th to 6th, Dr. James E. Callaghan, vice-president of Muskingum University(MU), Prof. Sun Yan, from the School of Art, and Dr. Yin Hong, assistant of vice president visited Lanzhou University.
On the morning of March 6th, the two sides discussed the details of the joint dual-degree training project (“3 + 1 project”) and the studying abroad project for LZU undergraduates at the meeting hosted by vice President Jing Tao. At present, the agreement on “3 + 1 project” has been reached, and a memorandum of understanding is also supposed to be signed in this month.
It is said that LZU has sent 25 term exchange students (for a period of 1 year, free tuition) and 8 short-term exchange students (for 1 month, all charges are on MU) to MU, and 4 exchange students from MU have studied at LZU for more than one semester since the academic exchange agreement between the two sides was signed in 2003.
