Undertaken by the School of International Cultural Exchange at LZU, the opening ceremony of Chinese culture summer camp for the Confucius Institute of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2013 was held at LZU on July 8th, with 19 campers and teachers, and the principals of the School of International Cultural Exchange in attendance.
The summer camp offers various activities of Chinese culture, such as Chinese language study lectures, traditional handicrafts production lectures, Tai-Chi lectures, folk-custom culture lectures, visits in urban area of Lanzhou city and the culture in central China, etc. Besides, some of the campers will learn in our school for further study in the fall semester this year.
It is said that our university has successively held all kinds of summer camps well-received by teachers and students, in order to make foreign students learn more about our country's long history and colorful culture, and create a platform to know the social and economic development in Midwest China.
