At the invitation of LZU, Dr. Denis Simon, vice provost for International Strategic Initiatives of Arizona State University (ASU), and Dr. Wu Xinju, director of China project of the College of Health Solutions at ASU, visited our university from June 25th to 26th . On June 26th, vice president Jing Tao met with the guests, accompanied with the principals from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and the School of Public Health.
At the meeting, Jing Tao briefed on the characteristics and outstanding disciplines of our university, in the hope of strengthening further cooperation with ASU. Denis Simon introduced the basics of ASU and its achievements resulting from cooperation with Chinese universities. Both sides called for further cooperation through the upcoming 3 + 2 program.
During the visit, Denis Simon talked with principals from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Educational Administration Office, the School of Public Health, the First Clinical Medical School, and the Second Clinical Medical School, reaching agreements on the matters of the 3 + 2 program, faculty exchange, etc.
