8th Gansu International Fellowship Program held at LZU

On the afternoon of September 9, the opening ceremony of 2013 Gansu International Fellowship Program was held at Lanzhou University. This program was successfully hosted by the School of International Cultural Exchange for the eighth consecutive year. Zhang Baojun, deputy director of Gansu Foreign Affairs Office, and LZU vice president Jing Tao, attended the ceremony and made welcome speeches. Zhu Lili, director of the International Exchange Division of Gansu Foreign Affairs Office, presided over the ceremony.

It is reported that 18 international fellows from 11 countries participated in this fellowship program which will last for about 2 months. Apart from learning Chinese language, there is a variety of activities for them to get to know more about Chinese culture, history and national circumstances.

 

“Gansu International Fellowship Program”constitutes an important part in strengthening its cooperation and exchange with its sister cities in the world, in the meantime, improving the reform and opening-up level of Gansu province.

Entrusted by Foreign Affairs Office, the School of International Cultural Exchange has hosted this program for seven consecutive sessions, there are 158 international fellows altogether from over 30 countries participated the program.
