Vice President Cao Hong Attends Signing Ceremony of Bilateral Cooperation Documents Between China and Turkmenistan

On September 2, a signing ceremony for bilateral cooperation documents between the People’s Republic of China and Turkmenistan was held in Beijing. At the ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between Lanzhou University (LZU) and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was signed. Executive Vice President Cao Hong attended the signing ceremony.

Cao Hong and Rashid Meredov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. With the support of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both China and Turkmenistan, the two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research, professional training, resource sharing, and joint organizing academic conferences in accordance with the agreement.

To further leverage geographical advantages and comprehensively advance educational cooperation with Turkmenistan and other Central Asian countries, LZU has been progressively establishing multi-level and extensive collaborations with relevant institutions. The cooperation with the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan is a strategically planned initiative aimed at  deepening engagement and broadening exchanges throughout Central Asia region.
