On August 15th, a 4-member delegation of LZU visited University of Nairobi, Kenya(UoN). This visit is not only the first time for our delegation to visit UoN since the Memorandum of Understanding was signed this June, but one of the important activities of international cooperation project presided by Prof. Li Fengmin of LZU called China-UN African Water Action Cooperation, Development and Demonstration of Water-saving Dryland Agricultural Techniques in Africa. UoN Deputy Vice-Chancellor Isaac Mbeche, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Jacob Kaimenyi and the professors of agriculture held official talks with the delegation of LZU.
Since this April, fully cooperated with Kenya, LZU has made a great progress in the field of rainwatercollecting and crop breeding importing which has been widely reported by medias including CHINAFRICA, UNEP IN CHINA and Xinhua News Agency. UoN and LZU both agreed to further strengthen the collaboration in dryland agriculture.
