The 2nd International Academic Seminar on Confucianism was held at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Republic of Ukraine, on Nov.28-29. Professor Wang Xilong from LZU attended the seminar and made a report entitled “Confucianism in Europe and the difference with religion” at the invitation of the Rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Professor Wang Xilong introduced the transmission of Confucianism to the West by Orthodox missionaries, the difference between Confucianism and religion as well as the inclusiveness of Confucianism, attracting the experts and scholars’ attention. After the seminar Professor Wang communicated with the postgraduates and professors engaged in oriental studies. Professor Wang’s report has been included in Oriental Studies in Ukraine.
