A letter of thanks from an institute of China Academy of Space Technology (5th Academy), China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) is sent to LZU recently, expressing the gratitude to Professor Chen Ximeng and Professor Shao Jianxiong’s research team for their contribution to the successful moon landing of Chang’e-3.
It is reported that Professor Chen Ximeng and Professor Shao Jianxiong’s research team assumed part of the research on some key device of Chang'e-3 lunar probe conducted by the institute (5th Academy) of CASC. Their simulation calculation on the impact of lunar landing environment contributed to the first successful landing of Chang’e-3 on the moon.
