Professor Wang Yuhua and his doctoral students Zeng Wei, Han Shaochun, Chen Wenbo and postgraduate Li Gen were invited to attend the 2nd International Workshop on Persistent and Photostimulable Phosphors (IWPPP) held in South China University of Technology recently. Professor Wang Yuhua served as the chairman of a branch meeting and delivered a lecture entitled “Syntheses and Characterizations of Several Novel Long Persistent Phosphors”. Zeng Wei and Chen Wenbo made the report “A Novel Yellow Long-lasting Phosphor Ca2BO3Cl:Eu2+, Nd3+” and “Yellow-green Long After-glow in Sr3Al2O5Cl2:Tb3+”respectively. Han Shaochun and Li Gen contributed the poster “Li+ Enhanced Persistent Luminescence of Mn2+ Doped Znic Borate Phosphor” and “Enhanced Long Persistence of LiSr4(BO3)3:Eu2+ Orange Phosphors by Co-doping with Dy3+” separately. Doctoral student Zeng Wei and postgraduate Li Gen were awarded for their reports.
