Professor Shirasawa Takuji, from Juntendo University, Japan, began a two-day visit to LZU from March 11 at the invitation of Lanzhou University First Hospital.
During the visit, Director Yu Qin and Vice Director Li Xun from Lanzhou University First Hospital and heads from other concerned departments met with the Japanese experts.
Director Yu Qin introduced Lanzhou University First Hospital in details, and Professor Shirasawa Takuji presented the overall situation of Juntendo University and the hospital, including industry influence and future development direction. After that, the two sides discussed future medical cooperation and academic exchange and cooperation.
Then, the Japanese experts visited the special medical center and clinical department of Lanzhou University First Hospital in Donggang District.
Vice President Jing Tao also met with the guests. Wang Yuhua, Director of the Office of International Cooperation & Exchange introduced the disciplinary setting, preponderant disciplines and foreign exchanges of LZU. After that, both sides discussed further medical cooperation and academic exchange between the two universities.
