On the evening of August 23rd, Deputy Governor Hao Yuan meet with Yakunin at the Ningwozhuang Hotel. Mr. Yakunin is the president of Russian Railways AG and the founder and chairman of The "Dialogue of Civilizations" Public Forum. Mr. Yakunin came to Lanzhou University to attend the “One Road One Belt” Cultural Roundtable Conference, accompanied by the Mr. Qi Mingqiu, the Party Secretary and the Executive Vice President of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and Mr. Gao Xincai, Vice-Chancellor of Lanzhou University.
During the meeting, Hao Yuan made statements on the status and role of Gansu in the New Silk Road Economic Belt. He also introduced the the “One Road One Belt” Cultural Roundtable Conference, which was jointly organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and Lanzhou University. Yakunin said that China development strategy of "One Road One Belt" had a far-reaching positive sense for the development of countries along the road. He was very happy to participate and promote cooperation in relevant areas.
