On the afternoon of August 25th, President Wang Cheng met with the president of
Schoolini University Prof. P. K. Khosla and his wife in the honored guest room in Yifu
Hall of Science and signed university cooperation memorandum. Staff from
International office and Science and Technology Department, as well as professors
from School of Life Sciences presented at the meeting.
During the meeting, both parties briefly introduced their universities, featured
disciplines and international cooperation. President Wang Cheng said that as a newly
founded private university, there had been Ph. D graduates from Schoolini University
doing postdoctoral work in Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and made great
achievements. He also hoped that Prof. P. K. Khosla’s visit could promote extensive
cooperation in the field of student and teacher exchange programs and scientific
research. He stressed that LZU is a university founded more than 100 years with many advantage disciplines such life sciences, pratacultural science and pharmacy. The life sciences in Schoolini University ranked at the top in India. Therefore, he hoped that both universities could strengthen cooperation in advantage disciplines and learn from each other, so as to promote the staff exchanges and visits in other disciplines and to make more in-depth cooperation.
Prof. P. K. Khosla mentioned that Schoolini University valued much upon international
exchange and cooperation because the authoritative world university rankings
regarded it as an important index. Schoolini University has built up relations with
many Asian universities except Chinese ones. He always expected that Chinese
students would choose to study in Schoolini University. He believed that the coming of Chinese students could bring fresh air to Schoolini University and he also warmly
invited president Wang Cheng to visit at his convenience.
President P. K. Khosla of Schoolini University and his wife was invited to attend the
“one belt one road” culture roundtable conference, jointly held by LZU and China
Soong Chingling Foundation.

A brief introduction of prof. P. K. Khosla
Dr. P. K. Khosla, born in 1940, is the president of India Schoolini University. He
graduated from India Punjab University and obtained the doctoral degree in Botany.
He finished his postdoctoral research in Punjab University and Oxford University. He
was the president of India HP Agriculture University and the senior governmental
scientific consultant in Indian Himachal Pradesh and contributed to the governmental
policy making of the state bioscience policy. In 2012, he awarded the “best
educational entrepreneurship” by ASSOCHAM.

It was founded in 2008, devoted to cultivate outstanding undergraduates and
postgraduates in comprehensive development via disseminating relevant knowledge,
