On the morning of January 7th, the handover ceremony of the newly-built stadium was held in the stadium on the base campus of Lanzhou University. President Wang Cheng and Vice President Gao Xincai of Lanzhou University attended the ceremony.
The new stadium has one underground floor and three over-ground floors. With an area of 14,215 square meters, the venue is equipped with one standard competition field, one basketball training field and one ping-pong training field. It can accommodate more than 4,100 spectators. As a multi-functional stadium, it can serve for multiple activities, such as sports contests, sports training, bodybuilding, performances and gatherings etc. The completion of the new stadium will greatly improve the sports and cultural conditions for our teachers and students.
People that participated in the ceremony are heads and staff of the Asset Department, Public Facilities Center, Security Office, Logistics Department, Logistics Group, Sports Deportment and Infrastructure Department of Lanzhou University.
