Elsevier issued the list of Most Cited Chinese Researchers in Beijing, China, on February 2, 2015. There are eight teachers of Lanzhou University on the list.
The list classified 38 disciplines such as social sciences, agricultural and biological sciences, earth and planetary sciences, astronomy and physics, and selected 1651 Most Cited Chinese Researchers. Eight LZU teachers on the list are Professor Li Wantong Professor Fan Xianling and Professor Deng Weihua in the "math" field, Professor Liu Jianquan in the "agriculture and biological sciences" field, Professor Niu Yaoling in the "earth and planetary science" field, Professor Wang Rui in the "biochemical, genetic and molecular biology" field, Professor Li Hulin and Professor Hu Zhide in the “chemistry” field.
