Recently, Professor Yang Shangdong from the State Key Laboratory of Organic Chemistry received a notification from the Thieme Publinging Group, which noted that he was granted the Thieme Chemistry Journal Award 2015 under the joint nomination of the chief-editor of Synthesis Magazine and Professor Paul Knochel from the Ludwig Maximilians Muenchen Universität in Germany
The award was established in 1999. The editorial board of the three reputable organic chemistry journals of the Thieme database- Synthesis, Synlett and Synfact is responsible for selecting among the young chemists and granting the award to those who had made great achievements in the field of organic chemistry. In 2015, 66 people in total received this award.
