"Sunshine baby story" project carried out by volunteers from school of education, LZU

Compared with the summer vacation, winter vacation is not suitable enough to carry out practice activities as the coming spring festival is calling people back home. In "the longest winter vacation" of 2015, there is a group of students who bring love and stories to kids back in hometown, and they are "Sunshine Baby Story" volunteers.

"Sunshine Baby Story" is aimed at preschool children of migrant workers in urban areas and infants and small children in rural areas to improve their reading ability. The Young Volunteers Association of the School of Education, Lanzhou University, has been engaged in two sessions continuously. After selection and training in December, 2014, a total of 9 volunteers from nine provinces such as Gansu, Xinjiang and Yunnan took part in the project and read for 41 rural children in their hometown respectively.
