From January 14 to 16, Professor Karlv Behrendt from the Charles Sturt University in Austrilia, Dr. Taro Takahashi from the Tokyo University in Japan and Professor Paul Thomassin from the McGill University in Canada visited the Lanzhou University. During the visit, Professor Behrendt introduced the ecological and economic model and development trend of the grazing management system. Dr. Takahashi demonstrated the data processing principles and skills in the grazing management system experiments while Professor Thomassin introduced to the graduates the farm management model and case analysis methods.
Professor Hou Fujiang, dean of the School of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology attended the academic exchange activity with his team. The activity is on the annual work schedule of the “Sustainable livestock grazing systems on Chinese temperate grasslands” program of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).
