Background:
AMBA (Association of MBAs), headquartered in London, is one of the world's three leading business school certification systems, mainly for international certification of MBA programs. Its values include integrity, fairness, and caring stakeholders. Currently, only 200 business schools of more than 80 countries and regions are authenticated.
LZU started its AMBA certification efforts at the end of 2012. And it got pre-certificated on May 7, 2014, and on September 15 and 16 of the same year, AMBA certification experts carried out on-site assessment of LZU MBA project. Experts conducted deep and detailed study of the LZU MBA program by listening to the reports by dean, reviewing basic materials, questioning and discussing relevant issues, and holding seminars with representatives of employers, students, distinguished alumni, and faculty, etc. The AMBA Organization believed LZU MBA program had achieved certification standards and agreed to issue AMBA international certification to LZU MBA program with the certification period of three years. In the AMBA Annual Meeting (Asia-Pacific region) held from November12 to 14 2014 in Auckland, New Zealand, the AMBA Organization announced that LZU MBA program got authenticated. LZU MBA program is entitled to cooperate with 222 accredited colleges and universities in the world through mutual recognition of credits, which suggests that the LZU MBA education is fully aligned with the international business education, a major milestone marking the School of Management’ achievements in building a major outstanding business school worldwide.
