John Belcher, Chairman of Study Abroad Foundation (SAF) and Shen Tiejun director in the Greater China region visited Lanzhou University on the morning of June 24.Xu Shengcheng, vice president of LZU, warmly received them at the Science Museum Lounge. People in charge from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and Office of LZU Students Practice Base in Nantong City attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Xu Shengcheng, on behalf of LZU, took the opportunity to welcome Mr. Belcher and his company, gave a brief introduction to the history and development status of LZU. He said cooperation with foreign universities served as an important educational goal of LZU in recent years to enhance education internationalization. He hoped to jointly carry out personnel training and scientific research with internationally renowned institutions by conducting substantive cooperation through SAF.
Mr. Belcher briefed the current development, success stories, mode of operation of cooperative education of Sino-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools in Asia, and challenges faced in China and other issues. He appreciated LZU’s cooperation with SAF and also hoped to establish a stable and cooperative relationship with LZU to jointly promote the process of its internationalization.
After the meeting, participants conducted discussion on Sino-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, student exchanges and other issues in depth.
