In the campus of Lanzhou University, passionate and curious about Chinese culture, China's development and achievements, groups of students speaking different languages with different colors from different cultural backgrounds make Lanzhou University more international. From August 29 to 30, new international students came to LZU despite of long and arduous journey. The International Cultural Exchange Center and the Logistics Reception Center had done a lot of preparatory work and pre-checks to ensure that everything went smoothly.
In 2015, 152 students on scholarship from a total of 37 countries and regions were admitted by Lanzhou University. Among them, 25 were doctoral students, 66 graduate students, 17 undergraduates, and 44 Language students.
The International Cultural Exchange Center is in charge of enrollments and the Logistics Reception Center accommodation arrangements. The enrollments involve residence permit, passport check, scholarship information check, Putonghua Proficiency Test and many other aspects. all faculty of ICES (International Cultural Exchange School) work together to help new students who first arrived in Lanzhou, China in registration and guide them to overcome difficulties in different aspects like language and living habits, so that they are able to get involved into the campus life of LZU.
