The Sino-Egyptian University Presidents Forum and Exhibition of China’s Higher Education was hold in Cairo University in Egypt on March 26th. Wang Cheng, President of Lanzhou University, attended the Forum and delivered a speech.
At the Forum, President Wang gave the speech “Promoting Students Exchange, Enhancing Cultural Understanding” in both Chinese and English. In his speech, the strategic position, the advantages of disciplines and studies of LZU in the construction of One Belt One Road, as well as current youth exchange situations with countries along the Road and the Belt, especially with Egypt was introduced. The willingness of strengthening the cooperation with the universities in Egypt in the fields like agriculture ecology in arid regions and education of overseas students was also strongly expressed.
This Forum was held by the Ministry of Education of China. The school leader of 19 Chinese universities, including Lanzhou University, Peking University and Tsinghua University, as well as the leaders of 21 Egyptian universities, including Cario University and Mansour University attended the Forum. They gave an extensive discussion of promoting the communication and cooperation in education between China and Egypt and also put forward many constructive suggestions.
The Sino-Egyptian University Presidents Forum & Exhibition of China’s Higher Education is a demonstration in all dimension and a thorough communication, which will promote the education communication between our university and the universities in Egypt.
