On June 10, the finals of the Chinese Bridge, the Chinese competition for global university and high school students in Georgia competition area, which was sponsored by chinese embassy in georgia, organized by the Confucius Institute in Tbilisi Free University and constructed by Lanzhou University, was held in Tbilisi Free University. 8 university students and 9 high school students from Chinese teaching school in Tbilisi attended the finals.
The finals included 3 parts: Chinese speech, Q&A and talents show. The competition started with students from high school, and then universities. In the speech part, 2 groups of contestants talked about their personal experience in China in standard mandarin. Their accurate pronunciation and fluent expression won the proposals of the judges.
The Chinese dean of the Confucius Institutes in Tbilisi Free University Che Rushan made a summary of the competition, and he evaluated the high quality and high standard of this Chinese Bridge cogently, and gave his appreciations to all stuff who devoted themselves into the Chinese teaching career in Georgia, moreover, he believed unswervingly that the future of Chinese teaching career in Georgia will be better and better.
As the biggest competition, the Chinese Bridge has always been welcomed by teachers and parents in Georgia. Since it could test the result of Chinese teaching directly and also establish a stage for students to show themselves. Moreover, it also provides a convenient channel for students to make their Chinese dream come true.
