Invited by the Korean local department of executive and Seoul National University, the dean of the department of management professor Bao Guoxian, professor Zhang Guoxing, associate professor Wang Xuejun, Doctor Mao Xuewen went to South Korea to participate the academic communication from June 6 to June 10, and they also visited the Chinese Embassy in Korea and the postgraduate department of the scientific integration in Seoul. During their visit, Bao Guoxian, together with related directors, discussed the cooperation in academic research and the exchange of teachers, and reached consensus in many areas.
On June 7th, Bao Guoxian, together with other colleagues, visited the administrative department in Seoul National University. Both sides agreed the academic cooperation in administrative and management fields, and they would hold the conference of the government performance management and the performance leading international academic seminar, and they would agree to sign the contract on the consensus and development an effective cooperation system. During the visit, Wang Xuejun made a special report on Public Value-based Government Performance Governance: Review and the Way Ahead, which reviewed the government performance governance research on the basis of the public values, and looked ahead the future develop trend.
On June 8th, Bao Guoxian and his colleagues went to South Korean local department of administration to carry out the academic seminar. The seminar was hosted by the dean of the local administrative department, He Huizhu, and the local administrative organizations and the recent developments and achievements of the South Korean academic circles towards the local administration were introduced by him. In the conference, Bao Guoxian made a report named Government Performance Management in China : Theory and Practice , which introduced the achievements in Chinese government performance management research, and he also discussed the related content about government performance management research in both China and Korea with the researchers.
On 9th to 10th of June , Bao Guoxian and his colleagues visited the administrative department in Seoul National University and Seoul scientific integrated postgraduate institute. Bao Guoxian also introduced the Silk Road Forum of the Deans of Business Colleges which would be held in September this year and the International MBA Yellow River Drifting Competition next year, which laid a foundation for future cooperation and communication on both sides.
During the visit, Bao Guoxian and his colleagues also visited the Chinese embassy in Korea, and exchanged views on the current situation, develop trends and education communication of the advanced education in both countries, Bao also expected to recruit more excellent talents to work in Lanzhou University with the help of the education department.
This visit has significant meanings in promoting the establishment of the academic cooperation and the development of the teachers’ communication channels among the management department of Lanzhou University, Korean administrative educational circles and Korean top business colleges.
