During August 7 to 8, “ International Forum on the Sustainable Development and Efficient Technology of Agricultural System in Western China” hosted by State Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs and undertaken by Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Sino-Australian ACIAR Project Summing-up and Assessment Meeting were held in Lanzhou. More than 230 from America, Australia, Germany, Netherlands and China attended the meeting. Besides, Professor Hou Fujiang, Vice-Professor Wang Hucheng and graduate student representatives from school of Pastoral Agricultural Science and Technology in Lanzhou University were present.
Professor Hou Fujiang was invited to deliver a keynote speech entitled ““Productive and Environmental Effects of Crop-Livestock System in inland arid region, northwest China” and presided over the academic report in parallel sessions.
Before the meeting, Chair Nan Zhibiao met with ACIAR assessment experts and Australian experts in project team and discussed the details about further cooperation.
