Field experiment of sand dust and biological aerosol in north China finished

Recently, the 2016 field experiment of sand dust and biological aerosol in North China was successfully completed by the College of Atmospheric Sciences, Lanzhou University(LZU). The observation experiment, which lasted for two months, was carried out by Professor Huang Jianping, Dean of the College of Atmospheric Sciences, who organized the ground observation program of the college.

After months of careful preparation, the project team applied the mobile observation system to set up three observation points were set up in three stations, including in Inner Mongolia city of Erenhot, Zhangbei County of Hebei province and Ji’nan city of Shandong province. The changing characteristics of dust aerosol and biological aerosols in respect of physics and chemistry in the long distance transmission path have been studied and the impact on the climate, which has an important scientific significance have been explored.
