LZU holds 17th National Academic Conference on Quantum Optics

The 17th National Academic Conference on Quantum Optics (NACQO), which was hosted by Committee on quantum optics of Chinese Physical Society and organized by School of Physical Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, was held in LZU on August 5th, 2016. Professor He Deyan, assistant to the president of LZU, attended the opening ceremony and delivered the opening speech. More than 650 representatives nationwide were present at the conference. 

The conference invited Guo Guangcan, academician from USTC, to give the speech “The Paradox of Quantum Optics and the Second Quantum Revolution”. The conference exchanged the views of the current research achievements in relevant fields by the means of invited reports, oral reports and posted reports, discussed the current situation and development of Chinese quantum optics research, and pointed out the next developing direction. 

 The participants of the meeting reached an agreement that this conference, which achieved a good and expected effect, completely reflected the newest research progress on quantum optics and informatics in recent years, setting a good way to improve the development and prosperity of the disciplines in these two fields in China.
