The final competition of the second national college cloud computing innovation contest was held in Changsha from 27th to 29th in May. Two teams from School of Information Science and Engineering, LZU participated in the competition and their two projects won the 3rd prize.
This competition is directed by the Science and Technology Development Center of Ministry of Education, held by Internet Innovation Union and undertook by Central South University and Southeast University. And it consists of creativity contest, skills contest and proposition contest. It encourages college students to participate in cloud computing competition to improve their learning ability, sense of innovation and practical ability. This competition also provides a platform for national universities’ cloud computing teaching and innovations researching. Exhibition and exchange platform achievements in cloud computing science and technology will be established after this competition, and it would encourage universities to cultivate talents, promote the application in enterprises, popularize the application of innovative scientific research cultivation based on cloud computing,and stimulate the development of cloud computing industry.
Since September, 2015, more than 2100 people, 500 teams, and 157 colleges and universities across the country have enrolled in the competition. Through the strict selection of every district, 42 qualified teams shortlisted in the final competition ultimately, including 20 teams for creativity contest, 12 teams for skills contest, and 10 teams for proposition contest.
