In the afternoon of August 28th, Party Secretory Yuan Zhanting visited academicians of CAS and CAE Ren Jizhou, Li Jijun, Nan Zhibiao and Chen Fahu in Lanzhou. He also checked the construction of College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology and State Key Laboratory of Grassland Agro-ecosystem (SKLGAE).
Secretory Yuan expressed sincere gratitude to the contribution made by the academicians to the development of LZU and the nation, and asked them for their problems in life and work. “Academicians are the excellent representatives of academy academic community and high-level talents, playing an irreplaceable role in the development of the university”, said Yuan. He hoped that the academicians continued to lead the way to “Two World Class” construction and made greater contribution to serve the development of national strategy, local economy and society, and university career. Yuan required that the relevant organizations and schools should pay more attention to the work and life of academicians, sparing no effort to provide all kinds of service assurance.
The academicians appreciated the care and support from the university as always, and provided their suggestions and opinions to LZU current development. They also stated that they would continue to contribute to the youth talent cultivation, the science research and the promotion of disciplines so as to speed up LZU “Two World-Classes” construction.
