Prof. Li Wantong from school of mathematics and statistics in LZU selected as highly cited researcher 2016

Recently, a list of Highly Cited Researchers 2016 was issued by ISI of Thompson Reuters, and Prof. Li Wantong from school of mathematics and statistics was selected by highly cited researchers 2016 for the third time after being selected in 2014 and 2015. 

It is reported that the announced cited researchers covered 21 subjects including materials, chemicals, mathematics, engineering and so on. 3266 scientists were selected, and 196 Chinese scientists (including Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan, 10 scientists from department of mathematics) were selected.

Introduced by the website http://highlycited.com/ of Thompson Reuters, the Highly-Cited Researchers 2016 was ranked through all the dissertations in the fields of nature and social science collected by the core collection (SCI, SSCI) of web of science in the recent decade, based on Essential Science Indicators (ESI), Highly Cited Papers are those published papers which were the top 1 percent among the related fields, and enjoy high degree of authority.

In terms of the latest data in the database of ESI in Sep. 2016, 203 SCI papers of LZU were selected in the Highly Cited Papers, and 31 of them were the papers of department of mathematics and statistics.
