Invited by Prof.Zheng Xiaojing, academician of Chinese Academy of Science and academician of The Third World Academy of Science (TWAS), Prof. Ivan Marusic from the University of Melbourne, Prof. Charles Meneveau from Johns Hopkins University, and Prof. Wang Jinjun from BUAA came to the Key Laboratory of Mechanics on Disaster and Environmental in Western China (Lanzhou University), Ministry of Education, China, for academic exchanges. The meeting was held by Prof.Zheng.
All the three professors highly affirmed the field observation on high Reynolds number turbulence and dust storm conducted by LZU. They believed that it was of great significance on the revealing of the mechanism of high Reynolds number turbulence and its actual application. They expressed intentions of further cooperation with LZU.
Academician Zheng Xiaojing made a summary on this meeting. She expressed her gratitude to those professors’ presence, and said that she was looking forward to the further cooperation and exchanges between LZU and universities from home and abroad.
