At the invitation of College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology, LZU, Dr. Mariana Pares Andreucci, the member of CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization) and Dr. Richard Sim of Agria Corporation, conducted an academic visit to LZU from October 12th to 13th.
During the visit, Dr. Mariana Pares Andreucci and Richard Sim delivered academic report entitled From Brazil to New Zealand and then Australia: previous and current research and Forages for Farming Systems in New Zealand and China respectively. Dr. Marina Pares Andreucci introduced her grassland agriculture research progresses and the improvements in the application of APSIM model at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Lincoln University in New Zealand and CSIRO. And Dr. Richard Sim exchanged ideas with teachers and students on the efficient production of the dormancy alfalfa in summer and stable supply management system and progresses, as well as the current situation and challenges of forage introduction and production.
