On March 22nd , Dr.James L.Sartin,editor-in-chief of Journal of Animal Science visited SPAST and gave an academic lecture on Surviving the review process: an editors perspective, at the invitation of School of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology(SPAST) of LZU and State Key Laboratory of Grassland Agro-ecosystems.
From the perspective of an editor-in-chief, Sartin put forward some suggestions on contributions and manuscript correcting as well as summed up some writing problems the reviewer confronted , which enabled the participants to fully know the problems they faced in the process of writing and contributing to SCI. All the teachers and students were strongly interested in the lecture and also communicated deeply with Sartin about their problems, thus gaining precious experience.
After the seminar, Hou Fujiang, Pei Shifang, associate editor of Acta Prataculturae Sinica and associate editor of Pratacultural Science discussed with Sartin on the journal’s operation, review and paper publication as well as running and management of other academic journals.
During the visit, accompanied by associate professor Le Xiangpeng, Sartin visited State Key Laboratory of Grassland Agro-ecosystems, spoke highly of SPAST’s achievements and hoped that SPAST would publish more papers about animal science in Journal of Animal Science.
