On the morning of June 11th, the opening ceremony of 2017 LZU students sports meeting was held at the west athletic field of Yuzhong campus, in hoping of motivating youth vigor, unifying youth power and flying sports dreams.
On the ceremony, national flag guard, red flag team, referee phalanx, athlete phalanx and schoolyard media phalanx gave us wonderful performance. Students from school of Mathematics and Statistics manifested their tender feelings as majors in science by forming words "I love you" using mathematical symbols. The sudden presence of golden “thinker statue” made by Philosophy and Sociology school surprised audience and inspired some philosophical reflections as well. With a model of “notebook computer”, school of Information Science and Engineering briefly exhibited its professional features——science is power. When the 80 bannerswere seen respectively, no mystery could be found. However, combined,they showed motto of Management school——learning management is learning how to reach success. At this side, the Art Academy brought us the light of the maritime Silk Road. At the other side, students from school of Physical Science and Technology presented us wisdom of celebrated physicists like Newton. What’s more, students of school of Foreign Languages and Literature wearing garment with exotic charm, as well as freehand biological drawing of Geological Science and Mineral Resources School showed different elegant demeanor.
During the ceremony, martial arts, nanchakus, dances, boxing, and cheer-leading were given by students, bringing to audience a wonderful visual feast.
