On Jan. 6, 2019, the leaders of State Administration of Forestry and Grassland and Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC, and the principals from the field of prataculture science attended the high-end forum held at Lanzhou University. The Forum aims to study "The 14th Five-Year Plan" of key research and development in prataculture and explore the construction of key laboratories, engineering centers, field stations and alliances of State Administration of Forestry and Grassland.
Nan Zhibiao, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Jianzhu, inspector from the State Administration of Forestry and Grassland, Song Hongzhu, director from the State Administration of Forestry and Grassland, Chu Yishi, deputy director from the State Ministry of Science and Technology , and principals of 71 colleges, research institutes and enterprises from China participated in this forum in Yun lvmei International Hotel.
In the forum, Song Hongzhu, , introduced the blueprintsabout futuregrassland science and technology platform, as well as the innovative talent plan for the discipline of forestry and grassland. Chu Yishi, explained the layout of the "The 14th Five-Year" of key research and development plan for the prataculture. Subsequently, the attendees listened to the opinions and suggestions about the above two aspects from experts in charge of prataculture science from participating units.
In the final speech, Nan Zhibiao put forward three suggestions to the heads of participating units. First, we should actively remove the obstacles in the information channels for the development of prataculture; second, we should firmly strengthen the platform construction; third, we should persevere in striving for support from the nation.
Subsequently, the first meeting of the National Innovation Alliance for Grassland Resources Protection was held by the State Administration of Forestry and Grassland. The leaders of the member units of the alliance discussed the engineering technology of grassland ecological restoration, the requirements for grassland science and technology platforms and the "The 14th Five-Year" of key research and development plan for the prataculture. The participants spoke enthusiastically to depict the blueprint for the future of prataculture science with focusing on bring their research bases and specialty.
