From July 15 to 29, "Explore China, survey the world - B&R leader culture survey project", initiated by LZU and jointly sponsored by The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Tsinghua University was held in Beijing, Gansu and Hong Kong successively, attended by 35 teachers and students of the three universities.
From 15 to 19, participants listened to the lectures about Chinese Culture, and were impressed by profound cultural deposits of Beijing. From 20 to 24, they visited Main Campus of LZU, Gansu Museum and Yellow River line, and enjoyed famous natural and human landscapes such as Jiayuguan tower and the Mogao Grottoes in Jiayuguan and Dunhuang. Absorbed in grand scenes of motherland, they highly admired the ancient and brilliant culture and art of northwest China. Finally, during the Hong Kong tour from 25 to 29, they attended two “One Belt and One Road” themed lectures, gaining a new recognition of challenges and opportunities in economy and society for today’s Hong Kong.
Thanks to the activity, participants from three universities strengthened their understanding for history, culture and economy of China. Meanwhile, these universities have reached an agreement that the project should be profoundly carried forward in the future as a brand so as to enable students from both mainland and Hong Kong to better understand the "B & R" Initiatives and to cultivate more talents with international view for the Initiative.
