From July 10 to July 19, the 4th Multicultural Education in Gansu Learning Tour ---- 2017 Transferred Research of Tunghai University(Taiwan) Education Institute was carried out in Gansu and Qinghai. On the morning of July 11th, the opening ceremony was held in NO.349 room in Qiyun Building and presided by the principal Chen Shengbai from School of philosophy and Social Studies.
Themed as "Multicultural Education", this activity is intended to improve the mutual recognition of the significance, aim and core issue in multicultural education, triggering comprehension and reflection in the view of trans-ethnic groups and society. Yang Linkun, associate professor of School of History and Culture, and Prof. Zhang Xueqiang from School of Education in Northwest Normal University were invited to give academic exchanges titled "History and Culture of Northwest China" and "Multicultural Education of Northwest China" respectively. During the several days, teachers and students from two places enjoyed the natural and cultural landscape once showed in textbooks before.
In the sharing meeting held at Yellow River Romantic Garden of July 18th, participators of China's mainland and Taiwan related their better comprehension for "Multicultural Education", and expressed their sincere gratitude to the sponsor.
