On the evening of September 17th, LZU 2017 Welcome Party for Freshmen, sponsored by Youth League Committee and undertaken by Students Art Group and Students Drama Group, was held in Wenxin Auditorium of Yuzhong Campus. Wang Cheng, president of LZU, Cao Hong, vice-president of LZU, Colonel Zhang Yucheng, director of LZU Selection Office of Chinese People's Liberation Army, other principals of LZU, instructors of military training group, alumni participating in group wedding ceremony---"Love in LZU" and about 2000 freshmen of 2017 attended the welcome party.
The party presented positive and promising spirits of LZUers, sent the sincerest wishes to the alumni participating in group wedding ceremony and displayed an audio-visual feast to the audience by the means of dance, recitation, playlet, song, etc. The song Love you,LZU, of which lyrics written by Miao Gaosheng, a retired professor of School of Marxism, composed by Yang Kun, a young teacher of Art Academy, sung by Sun Lizhong, undergraduate of Art Academy in 2015, national secondary actor, young baritone of Gansu Dance Group, was full of the best wishes of LZUers. The poetry recitation Schoolmate, do you still remember the time in LZU? also created by Prof. Miao, reminded of LZUers' memory about LZU. The dance Pursuit of Dream performed by Members of Students Art Group expressed their genuine respects to outstanding Chinese traditional culture. The atmosphere reached the climax with excited applause of audience.
"My LZU, one-hundred old LZU, best wishes for you, pray for you..." The party was ended up with the original song Best Wishes to LZU. People present cheered among the moving melody, and paid their respects to LZU and their youth.
