From November 21 to 24, 9th International Conference on Sustainable Animal Agriculture for Developing Countries (SAADC 2023), hosted by the National University of Laos, was held in Vientiane, Laos. Prof. Long Ruijun, doctoral students Zhang Qunying, Jiao Jianxin and master student Yang Xugang from the College of Ecology, Lanzhou University (LZU), Associate Prof. Huang Xiaodan from the School of Public Health, Young Researcher Mi Jiandui from the College of Veterinary Medicine were invited to attend the conference.
Prof. Long Ruijun was elected as the Co-Chair of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) of SAADC at the plenary session and gave a speech entitled “Low-carbon and nitrogen-saving metabolic strategies of yak in response to alpine nutritional stress in the Asian highlands”.
Associate Prof. Huang Xiaodan, Young Researcher Mi Jiandui, doctoral students Zhang Qunying, Jiao Jianxin and master student Yang Xugang made academic reports at the parallel session respectively.
Associate Prof. Huang Xiaodan won the Outstanding Young Scientist Award and doctoral student Zhang Qunying won the Best Oral Presentation Award.
