On September 26, the signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between Lanzhou University (LZU) and Bank of China (BOC) was held at Chengguan Campus. Ge Haijiao, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BOC, Cai Zhao, Vice President of BOC, Wang Feng, President of BOC, Gansu Branch, LZU President Yang Yongping, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Vice President Cao Hong, attended the signing ceremony.
Yang Yongping extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed gratitude to BOC for the support to the development of LZU. He said the signing of this agreement is a significant step to improve the level of bank-university cooperation, boost the development of new productive forces, and promote the synergistic integration of education, technology, and talent. He hoped both sides will continue to deepen and expand cooperation areas, strengthen the financial digital transformation, student internships and employment as well as corporate employee training, and explore new paths for bank-university collaborative education and innovative industry-education integration to contribute to the high-quality development of bank-university cooperation.
Cao Hong and Wang Feng signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, both parties will further cooperate in areas such as the joint construction of the “Belt and Road”, exclusive financial services, construction of infrastructure and informatization, talent cultivating, graduate employment, and rural revitalization.
During the discussion session, both parties exchanged ideas on talent cultivation, platform construction, and services for teachers and students.
Before the signing ceremony, the delegation visited the museum of LZU.
