“Communist Navigation, Youth Contribution”: 2017 Freshers’ arts performance final ended successfully

The arts performance final of 2017 freshers was held at Wenxin Hall at Yuzhong Campus on the evening of November 4. The performance themed with “Communist Navigation, Youth Contribution” was hosted by Student Union of LZU. After the preliminary and semifinal rounds of selection, ultimately, 10 teams from distinct Schools of LZU qualified for the final and they performed a novel show for the audiences. Five judges were invited for the final. They were: Yin Ting, teacher from Art School of Lanzhou Song and Dance Theatre, Chang Yaqiong, national secondary-level actor from Opera House in Gansu Province, Wang Shaofeng and Wang Yixuan, teachers from College of Music of Northwest Normal University and Chang Liang, director of Campus Cultural Activities Guidance Center of LZU’s Youth League Committee. More than 1,000 teachers and students of LZU watched this wonderful performance.

In the end, the team from the School of Law won the grand prize in the final through intense competitions. Teams from the School of Art and the School of Management shared the first prize. The team from the School of Nuclear Science and Technology won the second prizes. And the third prizes went to teams from the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, the School of Information Science and Engineering and the School of Philosophy and Sciology. Besides, teams from the School of Physical Science and Technology, the School of Chinese Language and Literature, the School of Chemistry and Engineering were awarded the “Excellent Organization Prize”.
