From 6th to 15th in May, invited by school of grassland agricultural science and technology, National Key Laboratory on Grassland Agricultural Ecological System and Innovative Key Laboratory on Grass Husbandry of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Pekka Huhtanen, from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, director Yan Tianhai and postdoctor Zhao Yiguang, from the animal nutrition research laboratory Agricultural Food and Biological Science Institute (AFBI) came to visit LZU.
Researcher Yan Tianhai visited LZU’s experimental station of Linze’s grassland agriculture and alpine meadow experimental station in Sunan Yugur Autonomous County. The experts participated in the Master-Degree Proposal Meeting for the postgraduates majoring in zootechny and the Thesis Proposal Meeting of the Institute of Grass and Livestock Adjustment for the postgraduates. They also provided guidance on the scientific research of the post graduates in experimental station and laboratory.
Researcher Yan Tianhai and professor Huhtanen delivered their report on Using respiration chamber data to help select low methane emission cows and Evaluation of nutritive value of forages respectively in the ninth grassland Everest forum. Doctor Zhao Yiguang made a report themed by the emission of livestock and the utilization of nitrogen : experiment and model in the fourth Youth Forum in the National Key Laboratory on Grassland Agricultural Ecological System.
Dai Jiancong, the vice director of Agriculture and animal husbandry committee of Sunan Yugur Autonomous County, An Yufeng, director general of Department of Veterinary Services, professor Hou Fujiang, from School of grassland agricultural science and technology, professor Saman Bowatte, doctor Peng Zechen, Zhu Wanhe and experimentalist Zhang Cheng participated in the field study.
